Townwide Yard Sale applications due April 14

NORTH READING — The deadline for submitting your application to be located on the Townwide Yard Sale map is tomorrow, Friday, April 14.

Plans are moving along for the Annual Townwide Yard Sale on Saturday, April 29 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pink flyers are posted around town as a reminder that there is still time to clean out the attic and garage and make money from that clutter that we all walk past daily.

Applications can be found on the North Reading town website: (northreadingma.gov), using the QR code on the pink flyers, at the Edith O’Leary Senior Center, or by calling Jean at 978-664-4095.

Remember that for a small donation The Friends of the North Reading Council on Aging do all of the multimedia publicity and your location will be noted on a map available online and for distribution the week before the sale so customers can be prepared to find the best deals.  If you do not live in North Reading or you live in a condo that does not allow yard sales and still want to participate, there is limited availability at North Reading Town Hall, 235 North St.

There has been as many as 83 participants in previous years. This is a town-wide event that draws customers from far and wide since our multimedia publicity is quite extensive.  It is the only fundraiser held annually by the Friends of the North Reading Council on Aging, which purchases items for the Edith O’Leary Senior Center that are not included in the annual town budget and also offers special programming throughout the year that are open to people of all ages.
