NORTH READING — The North Reading Garden Club invites the community to its annual celebration in honor of Arbor Day this Friday, April 28 at 6 p.m. at Ipswich River Park at the gazebo.
The Garden Club has been donating and planting trees at Ipswich River Park for over 20 years on Arbor Day.
Members of the local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops are invited to participate in the ceremony and all townspeople and families are invited to attend. Students from the middle school a cappella group, NR’Monics will be performing too!
Meet at the gazebo at 6 p.m. for a flag ceremony and then proceed to the tree-planting site.
The event will be held rain or shine. The Garden Club looks forward to seeing many townspeople in attendance to enjoy the ceremony.
