
NORTH READING — Two members of the North Reading High boys’ lacrosse team were recently named to the Cape Ann League Second-Team All-Stars that is voted on by the league coaches.The two Hornets to make the team are senior attackers Sam Morelli and Teddy Suny.
It is the second year in a row both players were named to the Second-Team All-Stars.
Morelli led the team in goals with 38 and he was second, behind Logan Lamont, in assists with 16.
“He had a huge year,” said Hornets head coach Chuck Campobasso. “He did a great job and the best game he had was when he led our comeback win against Whittier Tech.”

Suny was second on the team in goals with 34 and third in assists with 11 as he had 45 total points.
“He had great field vision and was a great leader in practice,” said Campobasso.
North Reading beat Hoosac Valley, 18-2, at home in the MIAA Division 3 preliminary round before losing, 15-0, at Grafton in the Round of 32 to end the season at 6-14 overall.
Grafton reached the Round of 8 as they lost to Medfield, 13-6, on Sunday as they ended up at 19-2.
In the tough Cape Ann League, the Hornets went 2-10 as they finished in fourth place in the CAL Kinney Division.
