Sylvia Moore, 90

Enjoyed vacationing to Little Sebago Lake in Maine, loved the Red Sox and coffee frappes

MELROSE — Sylvia K. (Jack) Moore passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on June 22. She was 90 years of age. Sylvia was just predeceased by her son Stephen on February 16 and was broken hearted when he passed. Sylvia loved her children and her grandchildren, especially enjoyed vacations at Little Sebago Lake in Maine and her many trips to Bermuda.

She was also passionate about the Red Sox and watched every game, especially when they went into extra innings. She loved taking trips to the casinos, playing keno and her scratch tickets. Sylvia enjoyed coffee frappes, any kind of Ice cream, going to plays like Les Misérables and Tracey and Hepburn movies.

Sylvia was a special angel and was loved by all her family and friends who were blessed to have her in their lives. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Moore. Loving mother of Kathleen Hachey and her husband Walter of NH; Timothy Moore and his wife Laura of Amesbury; Joanne Linehan and her husband Kevin of Melrose; and the late Brian Moore and Stephen Moore. Cherished grandmother of Jessica Walls and her husband David of Salem; and Ryan, Alec and Rachel Moore of Amesbury. Sister of Barbara Locke of Oregon and the late Florence Long. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, June 28 from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, June 29 at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
