Josephine Guida, 91

STONEHAM — Josephine A. (DeAngelis) Guida, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16. She was 91 years old.

Most people knew her as Jessie. She was born in Everett and moved with her beloved husband, the late Robert A. Guida, to Stoneham in the mid-1960s. Jessie worked in administrative roles for Liberty Mutual and CPS, a direct-mail marketing firm. Over the years, she volunteered her time at Stoneham schools and as part of St. Patrick’s CCD education program. 

She is the cherished mother of Robert H. Guida and his wife, Colleen; John D. Guida and his wife, Nicole Francis; and Steven J. Guida and his wife, Kara. 

To her great joy, she is the devoted grandmother (or as she is known, Nonna) of Robert A. Guida, Jonathan X. Guida, Marcus A. Guida, Gabriel F. Guida, Oliver F. Guida, Samantha C. Guida and Nicholas C. Guida. She is the dear sister of Jean M. DeAngelis and the late Michael and Enrico DeAngelis. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She is also a grateful friend to many residents and caregivers at Sunrise Assisted Living in Lynnfield. 

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Rt. 28) on Saturday, October 21 at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass celebrating Josephine’s eternal life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 a.m. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories of her with the family on Friday, October 20 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
