Frank Shankhour, 72

WAKEFIELD — Faez “Frank” Shankhour, 72 a Wakefield resident since 1979 died at his home on Friday October 20. 

Born in Syria July 3, 1951 he was the son of the late Aziz and Jamileh (Boghos) Shankhour. Frank immigrated to the United States in 1979 from Demascus, Syria and settled in Wakefield. He was the owner of Frank’s Auto of Wakefield for the past 35 years. He was a longtime member of the West Side Social Club. Frank was a very generous man who loved spending time with his family and friends and would do anything for them. 

Frank was the beloved husband of Deda (Boghos) Shannkhour for 41 years. He was the loving father of Andrew Shankhour and his wife Margaret. He was the brother of George, Tony, Ghassan, Elaine, Hanneh, Nadia, Najat, Gerogette and the late John and Issa. 

Frank’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Thursday, October 26 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, October 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery.
