MELROSE — The Melrose Family Room (MFR), a gathering place for parents, caregivers and young children, is celebrating its 35th year of serving families in the community. All past and current members are invited to reconnect with friends old and new and celebrate this milestone on Saturday, March 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Temple Beth Shalom, 21 East Foster St. in Melrose. The adult-only event is also a fundraiser for the MFR. Tickets are $20 which includes food and beverages and will support MFR scholarships and improvements to the physical space.
Organizers are currently seeking donations of raffle and auction items from former and current MFR members and/or local business owners. Please contact Amanda Maher at amaher09@gmail.com for more information or if you can help.Community members are also asked to help spread the word about the event to former MFR members, especially those who have moved out of the area. For planning purposes, tickets must be purchased in advance by visiting bit.ly/MFR35Years.
