Enjoyed the beach and singing classic rock songs
NASHUA, NH — George Sweet, 68, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on January 22 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was the beloved husband for 31 years of Gayle (Nelson) Sweet, who survives him. George grew up in Chappaqua, NY, the son of the late George and Jean (Waterbury) Sweet but lived most of the last 30 years in Melrose with his wife and two daughters.
He worked at various small businesses as a controller for many years, but his life really revolved around spending time with his family. He cherished moments at the beaches of Wellfleet and Wells and would play a variety of games with anyone he could recruit. He was often found singing classic rock and cooking meals for his girls. George will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Besides his wife Gayle, he is survived his two daughters M. Sweet and Catherine B. Sweet; and his many loving in-laws and family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother and sister, Charlie and Edith.
