NORTH READING — Masquers is headed to the state finals of the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild Drama Festival in Boston March 21-23. They will perform Shakespeare’s comedic “Much Ado About Nothing” at the John Hancock in Boston and are featured in Session 4 on Saturday, March 23 at 1:30 p.m.

They will compete against the following schools: Andover (“Into the Sun, With Certainty”); St. John’s Prep, Danvers (“Nothing/Something”); Leominster (“The Unraveling”), Milton (“Nora’s Lost”), Framingham (“The Heart of Robin Hood”), Everett (“Augusta and Noble”), Brockton (“Charley’s Aunt”), Peabody (“The Whale”), Joseph Case (“Icarus”), Westford (“Disgraced”), Sharon (“Middletown”), Boston Latin (“Please Leave [a message]”), and Wayland (“The Everyday Adventures of Harriet Handleman [Super Genius]”).
Three of these schools will be named Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild Drama Festival Champions and two will be selected to perform in New York.
