WAKEFIELD — Ruth L. Spafford, age 90 of Wakefield, died on Tuesday April 2 at Brightview of Wakefield.
She was born in Lynn on July 27, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ruth (Dore) O’Connor. Ruth was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Shortly after graduation, she married her husband Harold. They lived together in Wakefield up until his death in 2013.
Ruth was a charter member of Brightview of Wakefield and was one of the first people to sign up to live there. Friends and family of Ruth would like to extend their appreciation to Brightview Assisted Living staff and the Hands and Hearts Hospice group at Brightview.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harold D. Spafford. She is also survived by many dear friends and relatives.
Her funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday April 9 at 12 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
