Craig Scollard, 66

Enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family

WAKEFIELD — Craig Matthew Scollard, aged 66, of Wakefield passed away on October 16. Craig was a warrior who fought many health battles throughout his life with no complaints and a smile on his face. 

In his free time he enjoyed playing cards with anyone anytime and had a great sense of humor. Craig was also a competitive Special Olympics participant for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved all his nieces and nephews and all the family dogs. Craig is survived by his brother Mark Scollard and wife Carolyn; his sister Tracey Holmquist and husband Stephen; and sister Karen Knowles and husband Peter; and nieces Emily Scollard, Hannah Scollard, Kelly Ayn Edge, Tori Knowles and Sydney Holmquist; and nephews Tyler Holmquist and Christopher Knowles and predeceased by his nephew Evan Scollard. Craig was a shining light who will be deeply missed by his family. 

His funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church at the corner of Grove and Salem Sts., Lynnfield on Wednesday, October 30 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 3540 Crain Highway, Ste 675, Bowie, MD 20716. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
