TEWKSBURY — Arthur G. Cole, Jr., 79 of Tewksbury, formerly of Wakefield died Saturday October 19 at Lowell General Hospital.
Born in Melrose on December 31, 1944 he was the son of the late Arthur G. and Frances (Burry) Cole.
Arthur was a graduate of Wakefield High School. After graduation he went on to serve in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired Fire Fighter for the town of Wakefield. He was the past Commander for the American Legion Post 63 and past president of the West Side Social Club. Arthur was also a member of the Wakefield V.F.W. and the Disabled American Veterans.
Arthur was the father of Jeffrey Cole and his wife Margaret of Manchester, NH. He was the brother of Barbara Putnam of GA. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Edward and Alexander; great grandson Liam; and his two former wives Charlene Cole of Salem, NH and Lorelei Cunha of Wakefield.
