HAYRIDES, towed by a 1939 McCormick Farmall tractor driven by Matt Hall, are always very popular at the Holiday Tree Lighting. The tractor is owned by his grandfather, Gordon Hall.
WHAT DOES Rudolph do when not pulling Santa’s sleigh? Plays the trumpet with the NRHS Marching Band of course (with a little help from Alexina Sepke)!
ARRIVING IN STYLE aboard the Fire Department’s Engine 2 were Santa and Mrs. Claus and the children were eager to greet them.
PORTRAYING a Living Nativity of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus at the Putnam House Barn were Lincoln and Reese Palmer. A petting zoo was also nearby and both were sponsored by the town’s churches.
THE ICE QUEEN impressed the hundreds of spectators who attending Sunday’s holiday Tree Lighting on the common.
CUTE AS A BUTTON! Olivia Wallace, 5 loved being transformed into a famous reindeer by the talented face painter at the Tree Lighting.
A HANUKKAH menorah was lit as part of the Tree Lighting festivities on the common. It will be lit for eight days after sundown beginning on Dec. 25 this year. RNR Chamber Executive Director Rob Miner admired it along with the Ross sisters, Emma, 4, Hannah, 6 1/2, and Amelia, 9.
SUNDAY’S BEAUTIFUL sunset on the Town Common was enhanced by twinkling lights adorning the trees and the bandstand.
QUICKLY mastering the art of hula-hooping was Sadie Grande, 7.
