WAKEFIELD — Bernice (Bennett) Kelly, 99 of Wakefield died at her home Saturday, February 8.
Born in Canada, October 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Merle (Willard) Bennett. Bernice lived in Canada before her parents moved to Vermont. She was a graduate of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and spent over twenty years as a delivery room nurse at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She had been a resident of Wakefield for the past 72 years.
Bernice was the beloved wife of the late Edward J Kelly. She was the loving mother of the late Allan Kelly of Montgomery, TX; James and Nancy Kelly of East Falmouth; Robert and Patricia Kelly of Attleboro; Susan and Dan Marino of Pinellas Park, FL; Mark Kelly of Wakefield; and Patricia and Chris McAuliffe of Cornelius, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, February 14 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
