LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is presenting an acrylic coastal landscape demonstration by Deidre Tao on Thursday, Feb. 20, taking place from 7– 8:30 p.m. on Zoom. To see her beautiful seascapes, visit www.taofineart.com.
Tao has been painting professionally for more than three decades. Tao’s paintings have been purchased by private collectors locally, nationally and internationally. Her artwork is available through art galleries, her studio and her online presence. Tao earned her bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 1993. She subsequently set up her private studio space in Cambridge, where she has been a working studio artist since 1994.
“I am continually inspired by the New England landscape,” said Tao. “This is where my family settled many generations ago, where I was raised, and where I live. Having spent most of my youth in playtime and in solitary reflection by our pond or at the beach, the theme of water is a through-line in my life and artwork. I explore the relationship between sky, water, and land in my ongoing series of paintings. Shorelines of rivers, marshes, dunes, and oceans have been an exciting springboard for this expression.”
If residents want to see Tao’s seascapes, they can visit www.taofineart.com.
The LAG’s demonstration is open to all members via invitation. Prospective members are encouraged to join the Guild at www.lynnfieldarts.org to take advantage of this and upcoming special artistic opportunities, including free attendance at all live and virtual demonstrations and the ability to display art, network with other artists and show pieces in the LAG’s popular exhibits.
