NORTH READING — The Friends of the North Reading Council on Aging will be meeting Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m. at the Edith O’Leary Senior Center with a program presented by Gay Sheldon of the Boston Flower Market.
Sheldon has worked for 14 years as an activity director with seniors and 25 years as a floral designer. She will be talking about the flowers we see and use every day, the history of where they come from and using the flowers in interesting designs. She will be discussing the history of flowers being sent from outside the country and the history of the politics that is connected to it. She will be giving away her designs at the end of the meeting.
