WAKEFIELD — Anthony B. Cavalieri, age 93, a long-time resident of Wakefield, passed away on Saturday, March 1 at his residence.
He was born in Boston on September 27, 1931 and was the son of the late Eugenio and Anna (Luzzo) Cavalieri. He was raised in the North End of Boston and was a graduate of Commerce High School of Boston. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served for four years. Mr. Cavalieri was a Wakefield resident for 58 years. He was a professional electrical engineer and had retired from Metcalf and Eddy.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lenore (Gnerre) Cavalieri. He was the father of Lisa A. Cavalieri and the late Anthony J. Cavalieri. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Susan (Wiley) Cavalieri and his grandchildren Christopher Cavalieri and his wife Tiffany and Alison Cavalieri and her fiancé Greg Roy. He was the brother of Pasquale “Pat” Cavalieri, Virginia Welch and the late Angelina Lorino, Rose Romano, Vincenzo “Jimmy” Cavalieri, Mary Jesi, Grace Cavalieri and Elvira Cavalieri.
A graveside service will be held at the Forest Glade Cemetery, Lowell St., Wakefield on Tuesday, March 11 at 11 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
