NORTH READING — The spring sports season officially began on a dreary Monday at North Reading High School.
A rainy start is somewhat fitting for a season that typically involves multiple weather postponements during April.
Practices, tryouts and scrimmages for spring sports will occur this week and next week before the regular season begins the week of April 1.
The eight spring sports are baseball, softball, girls’ track, boys’ track, girls’ lacrosse, boys’ lacrosse, girls’ tennis and boys’ tennis.
