Homemaker who enjoyed gardening and being surrounded by her family
NORTH READING — Jacqueline M. (Warnock) Murphy, 88, of North Reading, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on July 23, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William “Uncle Bill” Warnock and Beulah “Aunty Bea” (Ferguson) Warnock.
Jacqueline was a homemaker. She was big hearted and giving to everyone. She loved nothing more than having her family around her. She was also an avid gardener and had been a resident of North Reading for over 48 years.
Family members include her loving husband of 55 years, Edwin F. Murphy; daughters, Gayle Munro and her husband Richard, Carole McTaggart and her late husband James and Susan Orben; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was the mother of the late Dawna Hastings and the mother-in-law of Richard Hastings.
Her funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading. Calling hours were held from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
