LYNNFIELD — Scouts BSA Troop 48 recently held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony at Centre Congregational Church to recognize five young men for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.

Assistant Scoutmaster Gordon Forrest said Lynnfield High School Class of 2023 graduate Christopher Gonzalez Jr. is currently “pursuing a career as an electrician.”

“For his Eagle Scout project, CJ partnered with the Lynnfield Rotary Club and led the construction of a large shed to house materials used by the Rotary in their various local charitable endeavors,” said Forrest. “The shed was completed on an accelerated project timeline and under frequently adverse weather conditions.”

Forrest said senior Jack Mackey will be graduating from the Pingree School in Hamilton in June, and will be attending Fairfield University in Connecticut this fall. He said Jack will be majoring in Business.

“Jack’s Eagle Scout project was for the town of Lynnfield’s Open Space and Recreation Working Group, where he led a team of volunteers in trail building and trail restoration within the town’s Beaver Dam Brook Reservation,” said Forrest.

Forrest said LHS senior Matthew Squadrito will be graduating in June. He is planning on attending the College of William and Mary in Virginia in the fall, where he will be majoring in History.

“Matt’s Eagle Scout project was for the town of Lynnfield Veteran’s Services Office, where he led a team of Scouts to collect the location and information from 600 gravesites of veterans buried in the five Lynnfield cemeteries,” said Forrest.

Forrest said senior Isaac Medford will be graduating from LHS in June, and “he plans to study landscape architecture at college in the fall.”

“Isaac’s Eagle Scout project benefited Temple Tiferet Shalom in Peabody, where he led a team of volunteers to perform extensive landscaping renovations,” said Forrest.

Forrest said senior Erik Bell will be graduating from LHS in June, and “he plans to study Athletic Training at Endicott College in the fall.”

“Erik’s Eagle Scout project benefited the town of Lynnfield Open Space and Recreation Working Group, where he led a team of volunteers to construct and erect bat boxes within the town’s Beaver Dam Brook Reservation,” said Forrest.
