STONEHAM — Eleanor Pica-Merrill, 93, of Stoneham and formerly of Belmont, NH and Wakefield, MA, died peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Eleanor is survived and will be deeply missed by her children: daughter, Rae Pica, son Stephen Pica and his wife Linda, and son Gary Pica and his wife Nancy. She was adored as “Nana” and is survived by her grandchildren: Michael Pica and his wife Jamie, Tony Pica, Kara Baker and her husband Ted, and Emily Pica. She was also “Great Nana” to Eliot Baker, who she cherished as her “Little Prince.” She is also survived by her sister Janine Frasca and brothers Anthony “Buddy” Frasca and wife Barbara and Phillip Frasca and his wife Mary, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husbands Raymond Pica and
Richard Merrill.
Born in 1931 in Lynn, MA, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jean Frasca. From the beginning, Eleanor loved music, singing and dancing. But it was when she was surrounded by her children and her grandchildren that she was her happiest. She will always be remembered for her generosity, ever present smile, wide circle of friends and her endless love of her family.
Funeral arrangements will be private and are entrusted to the care of Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, MA.
In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
