Wondering what to donate? We’re looking for books that are clean and in good shape. Books that you would buy for yourself or your family. Books that you would be proud to give as gifts. Books for all ages and tastes—adult books, fiction and nonfiction, and children’s books. Books that you’ve loved and would like to share. All these are welcome.
If you’re doubtful about a donation, here are the guidelines. We can’t accept books in poor condition, smelly, moldy, or heavily marked. We don’t accept textbooks, encyclopedias, or condensed books. And please, no VHS tapes, CDs, travel books more than five years old or computer books more than two years old.
Your book donations and purchases support library programs, including children’s summer reading and appearances by special guests, as well as technology and museum passes that are outside the funding of the town’s operating budget.
The Friends of the Flint Memorial Library is able to bring these great sale opportunities to the town because of the community support—your support. We’re sure you will step forward again with arms full of donations and a readiness to shop.
We count on you and we are grateful for your support.
