Update after press time: Lynnfield falls to Hamilton Wenham, 83-53 (April 29)

IPSWICH — The Lynnfield High girls’ track and field team fell, 91-48, at Ipswich on April16.
Five Pioneer individuals came out with wins against the Tigers. Abby Lopez led the way with two wins in the two mile (12:09.69) and javelin (77-8).
The other three Pioneer winners were Kate Shrewsbury in the high jump (4-6), Audrey Manning in the triple jump (31-6.5) and Elliana Moretti in the shot put (25-4).
Emrys Klee was second in the discus (69-11) while Shea Moore captured second in the pole vault (7-0).
Manning was second in the long jump (14-6.5) while Sophie Kennison was second in the high jump (4-4).
Ava Willoughby had the fifth second-place finish for the Pioneers with a 1:13.32 in the 400-meters.
Moretti was third in two events, the javelin (66-4) and discus (68-8) while Emma Greenleaf was third in the 400-hurdles (1:21.27). She was third in the 100-hurdles (18.35).
Manning placed third in the high jump (4-4) while Gabby Bottaro was third in the mile at 7:08.69.
The two other thirds for the team were Sofia Giardina in the 100-meters (14:34) and Aislin McCormack in the 800 (2:52.51) as Lynnfield had eight individual third-place finishes.
The Pioneers had last week off as they returned to action on Tuesday after press time against Hamilton-Wenham at LHS.
