WAKEFIELD – On April 19, 2025, three scouts and two scouters (adult leaders) from Troop 701 Wakefield marched in the 250th Anniversary Concord Parade commemorating the start of the American Revolutionary War at the Battle of Lexington and Concord.

Organized by the Concord Scout House, the Wakefield scouts and scouters marched with a larger representation of Scouting America and the Girl Scouts of America, including scouts from as far away as Albuquerque, NM.

Within the larger scouting unit, all of the state flags representing current states of the original 13 colonies were carried along the route.

Troop 701 had the honor of presenting the flag of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania during the march, in addition to our own unit flag. Scouts present for the parade were Jason Barry, Kestrel Sheau, and Will Turner. Scouters accompanying the scouts were Geoff Sheau and Jim Turner.
