Participants can upcycle gently used furniture, appliances, housewares, and building materials with Habitat for Humanity or recycle outdated electronics with peace of mind for proper data erasing with Green Team Junk Removal.
With no fee per car, additional fees will be charged for TVs ($20), monitors ($20), window ACs ($10), mattresses ($50), box springs ($50), and car tires ($15 with rims or $12 without). Residents also can recycle Styrofoam ($5 per full bag). Cash, card, and checks made payable to “Green Team Junk Removal” will be accepted. Questions can be directed to greenteamjunk@gmail.com or (508) 361-0519.
Also Saturday morning, the Melrose DPW will host a Paper Shredding opportunity for residents at the City Yard, 72 Tremont St., from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
