MELROSE — Henry S Bagley, beloved husband of Maura (Flynn) entered into eternal rest on May 16. Henry was born in Cambridge in 1932 and was the son of Henry and Frances (MacDonald) Bagley. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
After graduating Winthrop High School, he attended Boston College and graduated with a degree in Accounting. He then served in the US Army during the Korean War. His greatest joy in life was being “Pa” to his grandchildren. Henry was an avid sports fan of all Boston teams and enjoyed playing golf and running. He was a parishioner at Incarnation Church.
He was predeceased by his sister Rita Schwartz and sister-in-law Margaret Flynn. He is survived by two sons Matthew and his wife Margaret of Rye, NY and Andrew and his wife Lorraine of Howell, NJ; and two daughters Elizabeth of East Boston and Kathleen and her husband Michael Hegarty of Walpole; sister-in-law Christine Flynn; brother-in-law Thomas Flynn; and nine grandchildren Rory, Regan, Riley, Madison, Hailey, Sadie, Henry, Eamon and Aine; and many loving cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends were kindly invited to gather during visiting hours at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, May 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Friday, May 23 at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St., Melrose for his funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Private interment was in Winthrop Cemetery.
