LYNNFIELD — Lynnfield For Love is hosting the third annual Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony on Thursday, June 12, taking place at 6 p.m. on the Town Common.
“We are honored to continue our yearly partnership with the North Shore Juneteenth Association to recognize Juneteenth as a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery,” said Lynnfield For Love President Darlene Kumar. “NSJA President Nicole McClain will conduct the ceremony. We are proud to collaborate with the Lynnfield Cultural Council and the Lynnfield Public Library to provide our community with Juneteenth-themed refreshments, an educational storyboard walk and a reading zone stocked with Juneteenth books for all ages.”
The ceremony will conclude with the Juneteenth flag raised by ROTC cadets.
