NORTH READING — On Friday afternoon, the State Champion North Reading High baseball team was invited to Benevento Memorial Park to meet with the town’s Little League coaching staff and players prior to their season finale.
Hornets coach Eric Archambault, on hand with his team and the championship trophy, gave a brief inspirational speech to the Little Leaguers followed by a meet-and-greet with the varsity athletes.
The Hornets defeated Arlington Catholic 10-3 in the Div. 3 state championship game on June 13 at Polar Park in Worcester.
