MELROSE — Join the Melrose Recreation Department for the Annual Bike & Carriage Parade around Common Park on Friday, July 4 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Bring your decorated bike, wagon, carriage, scooter, skateboard, or other custom ride and take part in the festivities. Organizers encourage everyone to be creative and to show off their American spirit!
The parade begins at 10 a.m. sharp! Don’t worry if you’re running a little behind—there’s always time to jump into the parade lineup as it gets underway.
The Rec. Department kindly asks that participants park in legal spots and be mindful of neighbors’ driveways, as street parking fills up quickly.
After the parade, enjoy free face painting, music, games, activities and vendors — fun for the entire family!
This is a zero-waste event. There are no trash barrels at the park, so please practice “carry-in, carry-out” and take everything home with you. The event will be cancelled in case of rain or inclement weather.
