NORTH READING — The North Reading Community Impact Team (CIT) is sponsoring its 10th annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5 at Ipswich River Park from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. (rain date August 12).
National Night Out is an event focused on strengthening North Reading by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement and first responder partners.
All events and attractions are free for guests to attend and participate in, which includes the free BBQ, petting zoo, touch-a-truck, raffles, music, magic and face-painting.
Local resources will also be available to engage with the public including those for seniors, veterans, adults and children. Elders who need a ride to the event should contact the O’Leary Senior Center at 978-664-5600.
The CIT is seeking professionals, community and youth groups to host resource tables on community programs, resources, safety and law enforcement topics. Table space is provided free of charge, but an application is required. Final decisions regarding vendors will be made by the National Night Out Committee.
The group is also seeking sponsors for the August 5 event. To learn more on how to be a vendor or sponsor, visit www.northreadingma.gov/CIT and click on “National Night Out” or contact Amy Luckiewicz at coalition@northreadingma.gov.
