NORTH READING — Each year the Union Congregational Church awards scholarships to high school graduates who will be continuing their education. The Frank W. and Glenn A. Kenrick Scholarships are awarded on the basis of service to the church and the wider community, and this year there are three recipients.

Those who will receive a $500 scholarship are Raffi Toby, who will be attending Georgia Tech University and majoring in mechanical engineering; Logan Pemberton, who will be heading off to the University of Massachusetts this fall to study management; and Michael Mahoney, who has been accepted at the University of Vermont and will be majoring in animal science. All three are members of the church and 2025 graduates of North Reading High School.

The scholarships were established a number of years ago by Frank and Anne Kenrick in loving memory of their sons, both of whom were alumni of North Reading High School.
