Leigh Ann Ryan, 61

WAKEFIELD — Leigh Ann Ryan, beloved daughter of the late William and Lillian (Farrell) Ryan, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, at the age of 61, surrounded by her loving family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Stoneham, Leigh grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1981. After graduating, Leigh built a fulfilling career spanning more than four decades at American Mutual Insurance, now AIM Mutual Insurance, where she was known for her dedication and thoughtfulness.

To her family, Leigh was at the heart of every gathering. She brought joy to holidays with her festive decorations and thoughtful gifts. Leigh was known as the “Fun Aunt” to her family and was cherished by her nieces and nephews. She always remembered birthdays and milestones — even during the most difficult days of her illness. She loved being at the beach and held a special place in her heart for Aruba.

Leigh also had a great relationship with her coworkers. You could find her at the charity events hosted by the insurance company. Leigh always gave her time and attention to all who needed her. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and colleagues.

Leigh was the loving sister of Deborah Procacini and her husband Richard of Tewksbury, Lynne Marcus and her husband Peter of Wakefield, Mark Ryan and his wife Lynne of Medford, William Ryan and his wife Kim of Billerica, and the late Karen Ramocki and her husband Stephen Ramocki of Wakefield. She was a treasured aunt of Nicole Ramocki and her husband Dennis Verbo, Jenna Maloney and her husband Jonathan, Michael Procacini and his wife Ashlee, Jack, Courtney and Camryn Ryan, Ryan Marcus, Ashley Ryan, and the late Kevin Ramocki. Great aunt of Ethan, Alice, Hayes and Nellie. Leigh also leaves many dear friends and special coworkers.

Leigh’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Kaplan Family Hospice House for their compassionate care and kindness during Leigh’s final days.

Family and friends are cordially invited to celebrate Leigh at a Graveside Service on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Forest Glade Cemetery, Lowell Street in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Leigh’s memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
