Electric vehicles to be showcased August 24 at Vets

WAKEFIELD ––– Are you in the market for a new vehicle and considering going electric? Do you want to talk to local owners to hear about their experiences? Stop by Wakefield’s annual Electric Vehicle Showcase on Sunday, August 24.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Veterans Field parking lot on North Ave., you can explore a variety of vehicles and get insight from those who are using them.

Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Department personnel will be there to talk about rebates and incentives and show their EV Ford Transit Van and EV Ford Lightning pickup truck. You can also speak to an expert on state incentive plans.

The showcase will feature:

  • Rivian R1S SUV and R1T pickup
  • Tesla Models X, Y and S
  • Toyota bz4x
  • Kia EV9
  • Ford Lightning pickup and ETransit van
  • Nissan Leaf
  • Hyundai Ioniq 5
  • Chevy Bolt and Blazer (police cruiser)
  • Cadillac Lyriq
