Scrimmages set to start as Melrose fall teams prepare for season

MELROSE — The fall sports season is officially underway at Melrose High School.

Most teams will have next week to prepare for the regular season which will begin after Labor Day.

Golf is the only exception as they will start their campaign on Aug. 26 with a home match against Reading at Mount Hood Golf Course.

A variety of scrimmages will be taking place over the next week as Melrose prepares for the 2025 season.

The following is a varsity scrimmage schedule:

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 23

Football: at Billerica, 10 a.m.

 

TUESDAY, AUGUST 26

Golf: vs. Reading, 10 a.m. (Regular Season)

Football: vs. Masconomet, 4:30 p.m.

Volleyball: vs. Lynnfield, 5 p.m.

WEDESDAY, AUGUST 27

Boys’ Soccer: at Beverly, 5 p.m.

Girls’ Soccer: at Billerica, 6 p.m.

 

THURSDAY, AUGUST 28

Volleyball: vs. Marblehead, 5 p.m.
