Apply now for FY26 Cultural Council grants

NORTH READING — The North Reading Local Cultural Council FY26 grant process officially opened on Tuesday, September 2.

These arts and cultural grants benefit the community in a variety of ways. The Council funds public projects that include everything from field trips to lectures, festivals, and dance performances and range from $150 to $2,000. The application deadline is Thursday, October 16 at 11:59 p.m. Now is the time to apply; don’t wait until the last minute to apply

In FY25, the North Reading Council provided grants for a variety of events, including the North Reading Pride Ride, the Ipswich River Community Chorus, North Reading Community Coffeehouse, the Delvina Theater and the Mass. High School Drama Festival. In all, there were 17 grants given out for the year totaling over $8,000.

The application process is easy and done online. To apply:

1. Read about the program by visiting the Mass. Cultural Council online and clicking on the section for the North Reading Local Cultural Council. (You can click on the QR code below for a quick way into the website).

2. Download the LCC Program Guidelines (PDF).

3. Read the Council profile to learn about local priorities before you apply.

4.  Set up a user account and profile in the agency’s grants management system and complete the grant request application.
