MELROSE — All members of the Melrose School Committee have proudly endorsed the non-partisan Yes for Melrose override campaign and will be voting yes on questions 1A, 1B and 1C this November.
After a very difficult budget process this spring, which culminated in damaging staffing and service cuts across the Melrose Public Schools and city departments, students and educators in Melrose are experiencing bigger class sizes, less classroom support and fewer academic offerings this school year. Members of the School Committee hope that Melrose voters will join them in voting “yes, yes, yes” for much-needed restorations of teaching positions and essential support for our students, educators and shared community.
