NORTH READING — The Union Congregational Church, 148 Haverhill St., will host “Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention” on Sunday, September 21, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., immediately following the morning worship service.
Developed by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), Talk Saves Lives is the organization’s signature education program, providing participants with life-saving knowledge and practical tools to help prevent suicide.
The presentation will cover what we know about suicide as a leading cause of death, the most up-to-date research on prevention, and what each of us can do to keep our loved ones and our community safe. It will be led by guest speaker Michele Lee who is the Massachusetts Programs Manager for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
This program is free and open to the public. No registration is required. All are welcome to attend.
