THE VETERANS EVENT COMMITTEE and Veterans Department continue to spread the word about the town’s participation in Wreaths Across America which seeks to honor veterans for the holidays by placing real balsam wreaths on their graves. This year’s goal is to place 150 wreaths at Riverside Cemetery. VEC members Lori Martinez and Roberta Sanchez provided information on the program to attendees at the last Summer BBQ of the season at IRP. Wreaths are $17 each and sponsorships are due by Dec. 1.
