LYNNFIELD — The Think of Michael Foundation and A Healthy Lynnfield are holding the seventh annual Night of Hope in observance of National Recovery Month on Sunday, Sept. 28.
A Night of Hope will begin at 5 p.m. at Lynnfield Middle School with resource tables staffed by local treatment providers offering information about mental health issues and substance use disorders. Attendees will receive a free T-shirt and a votive. Attendees will walk to the Town Common at 6 p.m., where speakers will share their recovery stories.
The event will allow townspeople to show their support for individuals struggling every day to reclaim their lives from substance use disorders and to celebrate hard-fought successes for those who remain substance free. As an awareness-raising and family event, parents are encouraged to start conversations early with their children about healthy choices and the impact substance use can make.
For more information about A Night of Hope, people can contact Think of Michael President Carmela Dalton at cmdalton@thinkofmichael.org or A Healthy Lynnfield Program Director Diana DeLeo at deleod@lynnfield.k12.ma.us.
