MELROSE – Follow Your Art Community Studios (FYACS) announces the fifth annual Art of Words gallery exhibition at 647 Main St. in Melrose. This show is an annual favorite in the Gallery at FYACS and features works created and inspired by Follow Your Art’s writers- and artists-in-residence.
In preparation for this exhibition, visual artists and writers exchanged pieces from their chosen mediums. Each writer provided a short story or poem for a visual artist to respond to, using the same title, while artists shared visual pieces as inspiration for the writers.
“This show is a captivating chance to see how Follow Your Art’s talented artists and writers creatively connect and collaborate through their diverse mediums,” explained Sara Gravante, Follow Your Art’s gallery coordinator and artist-in-residence.
FYACS invites the community to the free Opening Reception of the exhibit on Friday, October 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 647 Main St. in Melrose. The exhibition will also be on view through October 31. The gallery is open to the public six days a week, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
