Lynnfield falls to North Reading 3-2 (Sept. 26)
Lynnfield defeats Essex Tech 3-1 (Sept. 25)

LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield High volleyball team won their third match in a row and improved to 8-1 overall with a 3-0 victory over Newburyport on Monday at LHS.
The Pioneers were led in this one by Audrey Manning who had 14 kills, 4 aces and 17 assists, all team highs.
Alexia Vaquerano also reached double digits in kills with 10 while adding 16 digs and 16 serve receptions.
Carina DeLeo had 16 assists. Thayer Sutherland added 6 kills and 3 aces.
Elliana Moretti led the defensive effort with 27 receptions and 21 digs.
The Pioneers had to earn the win with set scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 26-24.
Lynnfield swept Lawrence 3-0 in a non-league road matchup on Friday night.
Manning (11 kills) and Vaquerano (10 kills) led the attack once again in this one. Sutherland and Milana Labkovich each added 6 kills.
Lynnfield had 16 service aces against the Lancers led by Olivia Kelter (4) and Moretti (4).
Moretti and Kelter both tied for the lead in digs as well with 11 each.
Manning had 14 assists and DeLeo added 13.
Lynnfield will look to stay perfect in CAL play (5-0) when they host Essex Tech for a rematch on Thursday, 5 p.m. at home. The Pioneers beat the Hawks 3-0 on Sept. 4.
Lynnfield then travels to North Reading to play an upstart, undefeated Hornets (8-0) team on Friday night at 5:30 p.m.
