Friends of the Lynnfield Library Fall Book Sale Oct. 4

LYNNFIELD — The Friends of the Lynnfield Library (FOLL) is holding the annual Fall Book Sale on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Meeting House.

The Friends of the Lynnfield Library’s members only presale is Friday, Oct. 3, taking place from 5 to 7 p.m.

“Not a member but don’t want to miss the presale? No worries, you can sign up at the door,” said Friends of the Lynnfield Library President Jeana Tecci.

Tecci said only books in excellent condition will sold and there will be thousands to pick from at the sale.

“This is a great opportunity to add to your home library or book collection at prices you can’t get off Amazon,” said Tecci. “Books are just $1 to $3 and cash, Venmo, checks and Paypal are accepted.”

Tecci said, “FOLL is excited to announce new community partners for the upcoming Book Sale on the Town Common, weather permitting, starting at 9 a.m.”

“The Historical Society will host a bake sale with proceeds benefiting FOLL,” said Tecci. “Local author Dr. Ruth Grube will read from her debut book, ‘Who Am I When No One’s Around?’ at 10 a.m. and will sell signed copies. Dr. Grube is a lifelong educator bringing both wisdom and warmth to everything she creates. FOLL is honored to partner with her at the fall book sale. At 12 p.m., enjoy a community performance of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ by Lynnfield residents.”

Tecci said the Friends’ Book Sale is the nonprofit organization’s biggest fundraiser that provides significant support for the library and the community.

“Have you ever used a library museum pass? These discounted passes are thanks to the Friends of the Lynnfield Library,” said Tecci. “This year, all library programming will be funded by the FOLL; this includes the wildly popular weekly virtual yoga class, Bill Sano lectures, adult workshops, kid and teen activities, as well as the Summer Reading program, its kickoff and end of challenge prizes. Please join the Friends of the Lynnfield Library at the Meeting House to continue providing our community with quality programming while supporting affordable literacy. Please visit foll.org or FOLL’s Facebook event page for updated event information.”
