
STONEHAM — The Warrior boys’ cross country team came away with an 18-44 victory over the Stoneham Spartans on Tuesday.
Devin DeBerardinis got a convincing win in a time of 17:39.
Max Viselli was 2nd place in 18:44. Noah Morrisseau placed 4th in a time of 19:03, two minutes faster than his time on the same course last year.
Sean Marra was 5th with a full minute improvement running 19:13. Brendan Pritchard was 6th in a time of 19:22, 90 seconds faster than last year. Ryan Paige was 7th in a time of 19:27. Zach Richardson placed 9th in 19:43 to finish off the scoring.
The Warriors traveled to Hudson, New Hampshire last weekend to compete in the Battle of the Border Invitational. The meet had teams from Massachusetts and New Hampshire face off.
In the varsity race, the Warriors placed 15th out of 25 teams. DeBerardinis ran a time of 17:45. Alec Buonopane-Cohen ran 18:30. Viselli ran 18:40. Richardson ran a time of 18:47. Morrisseau ran a time of 19:03. Marra ran a time of 19:14. Evan Buonopane-Cohen ran 19:21.
In the Junior Varsity race, the Warriors placed 5th. Paige ran a time of 19:20. Max Levine ran 19:24. Nick Hurley ran 19:27. Zach Davidson ran 19:58. Connor Moulton ran 20:26 to round out the final team score.
The Warriors also placed 5th in the freshman race. They ran a distance of 2 miles.
Matthew Houghton placed 20th in a time of 13:56. Connor Courtney ran a time of 14:05 placing 24th. Jake Paige ran a time of 15:17 placing 34th. Dario Mauro ran 15:56 placing 43rd. EJ Savage ran 16:00 placing 45th to complete the team score.
The Warriors (2-1) will travel to Wilmington (0-3) on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
