THE 5-month project to replace the 112-year-old Park Street bridge that spans Martins Brook near the Masonic Lodge was officially completed last week. It was reopened to traffic to the relief of motorists who had been detoured between Main Street and Winter Street since May 5. The town received a $500,000 MassDOT Municipal Small Bridge grant this summer toward the construction cost and had previously received a $100,000 grant for the bridge design phase three years ago through the same state program.
