Library hosting Bill Sano music lectures in November

LYNNFIELD — Bill Sano is back at the Lynnfield Public Library for his four-part music and lecture series with the “I Love a Piano” featuring the lives and careers of some of the most famous pianists of the last three centuries.

Sano’s presentations will take place on Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Meeting House, with a break at 11 a.m. for refreshments.

“Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and how to listen to a concerto intelligently” will be the topic of the Wednesday, Nov. 5 presentation.

“Remembering Ragtime 1900, Scott Joplin, Eubie Blake, Jelly Roll Morton, Zez Confrey and even Irving Berlin” will be the subject of the Wednesday, Nov. 12 presentation

“The Romantic 19th Century, Liszt and Chopin, What could be better” will be the topic of the Wednesday, Nov. 19 presentation.

“The Russians are Coming, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Arthur Rubinstein and Vladimir Horowitz (but not Putin)” will be the subject of the Wednesday, Nov. 26 presentation.

This event series is free and open to the public.
