NORTH READING — Overnight pavement resurfacing work began Sunday, October 19 and is anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete.
The Department of Public Works, along with its contractor, D&R General Contracting, are resurfacing Concord Street from the Wilmington town line to the intersection of Park Street.
The majority of this work will take place at night between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Businesses and residents should expect delays and full detours, at times, when they’re traveling on Concord Street during night work hours.
Emergency vehicles and truck routes within the limits of Concord Street will be allowed passage.
Police detail officers will be present during these working hours to detour traffic on both ends of Concord Street.
When traveling in the construction zone, motorists are asked to reduce their speed and pay extra attention to detours and police officers directing traffic
