NORTH READING — The parking lot at Union Congregational Church was transformed into a festive, candy-filled party this past Sunday, as the church hosted its annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event. The community’s youngest residents, clad in a vibrant array of costumes, flocked to the church for the popular pre-Halloween celebration.
Members of the congregation went all out, decorating their car trunks with creative and spooky themes ranging from TV favorites to board game fun, all in the spirit of handing out treats. Children enthusiastically moved from car to car, filling their bags and buckets with an impressive haul of candy.
Attendees were also treated to free cotton candy and could participate in fun crafts and games inside. Each child also received a special goody bag packed with a mix of candy and non-candy treats, ensuring everyone left with a smile.
