Veterans Day Ceremony Tuesday

NORTH READING — All are invited to the town of North Reading’s Veterans’ Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m. to honor the town’s.

The ceremony will take place at the top of the Town Common near the veterans memorials.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will move inside to the Edith O’Leary Senior Center. (Please note that indoor seating is limited to 60 people.)

Chairs will be provided, and the sound system is ready to ensure everyone can hear the program clearly.

The keynote speaker and honored guest is Andre C. Washington, U.S. Army (Ret.). Opening remarks will be offered by Richard Stratton, USMC (Ret.). Also among the speakers will be the town’s new VSO Christopher Thomann, USAF (Ret.). The North Reading Police Honor Guard will present the colors and the Pledge Of Allegiance will be led by the town’s Scouts. Music will be provided by the award winning NRHS Marching Band, members of the VFW will lay wreaths on the memorials and the Minit and Militia will fire a volley. Refreshments to follow in the Senior Center.
