Melrose to battle Wakefield on Tuesday, Nov. 25
BOSTON—Are you ready for some Fenway football?
Melrose and Wakefield football will face off for their 65th Annual Thanksgiving Classic at Fenway Park, on Tuesday Nov. 25 (two days before Thanksgiving.) Sponsored by Major League Baseball, Melrose will be battling Wakefield for the 115th time in their schools’ history. They join other Middlesex League teams who have taken their holiday tradition to Lansdowne Street over the last decade.
Fenway Park will host high school football games at Fenway Park during Thanksgiving week, featuring four Massachusetts rivalry games across two days. The games will be played on Tuesday, November 25, and Wednesday, November 26, 2025, with specific matchups for each day, including Melrose vs. Wakefield and Plymouth North vs. Plymouth South. *5:00 p.m.: Melrose vs. Wakefield
7:30 p.m.: Newton North vs. Brookline
Wednesday, November 26, 2025
4:00 p.m.: Plymouth North vs. Plymouth South
6:30 p.m.: Lexington vs. Concord-Carlisle
General admission tickets are $20 and allow admittance to both games that day. Tickets are only being sold by Major League Baseball.
