WAKEFIELD — Peter David Dolan Sr., 75, of Wakefield died Friday, June 24, at the Care One Nursing Home in Lexington.
Born in Stamford, Conn. on July 13, 1940, he was the son of the late Francis and Petronella (Purdy) Dolan.
Mr. Dolan was raised in Stamford, Conn., and graduated from Stamford High School, attended St. Basil’s College and subsequently earned a master’s degree in Personnel Management from the University of Connecticut.
He served in the United States Army as a military policeman at Fort Devens during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Dolan was the husband of the late Maureen Ann (Nellegar) Dolan. He was the father of Peter Dolan Jr. and his wife Margaret of Londonderry, N.H., Patrick Dolan and his wife Karen of Reading, Brian Dolan of Wakefield and Christopher Dolan and his wife Cindy of Billerica. He was the grandfather of Timothy, Hayley and Alyssa Dolan. He was the brother of the late Frances Leary and Diane Grumblis.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 11:30 a.m.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Interment will take place on Thursday at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Pittsford, Vt.
